Once again, my needs were met, and for that, I am forever grateful. We were able to raise enough money so that I will be able to have an assistant with me throughout my internship year. Unfortunately, we fell very short of our donation goals ($25,000 to both the Miami Project and Christopher Reeve’s Paralysis Foundation). However, my goals may have been unreachable. Those of you who know me know I do have a tendency to set very lofty goals. Fortunately, we were able to donate more money than we did last year, and on those grounds, I would call this year's tournament a success. We sent $6,000 to the Miami Project, $3500 to Christopher Reeve’s Paralysis Foundation, and $500 to ASAP. My fundraising efforts for next year have already started.
